Mother’s Day is coming up soon, and it’s time to start planning! Let Mom take it easy this year by preparing her a lovely brunch— after all, it’s the perfect occasion to treat our mothers like royalty, which they certainly deserve! Elderflower Rose 75
Is there any cocktail more celebratory than the French 75? Our Elderflower Rose twist makes for an especially delightful treat this season with elegant floral notes, bursts of citrus, and lively effervescence.
Gin & Jam
If you have some jam laid out as part of your brunch spread, why not also make a cocktail with it, too? @brittsbevs has you covered with the fruity Gin & Jam that’s equal parts delish and easy-to-make! Feel free to get creative with your choice of jam to make it unique for your mom. Recipe serves 2.
INGREDIENTS
- 4 oz Empress 1908 Indigo Gin
- 1½ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 tbsp Strawberry Jam (or any flavour)
- Dash of Lemon Zest
- Lemon Wheel, for garnish
METHOD
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker or mason jar with ice. Shake until chilled. Strain into ice-filled rocks glasses, and garnish with a lemon wheel. Enjoy!
Cucumber Limoncello Spritz
It’s hard to pass up on a good spritz, and this crisp option is no exception! @emilylaurae mixes cooling cucumber, refreshing mint, and vibrant citrus for a sip that resembles the lush gardens of springtime.
INGREDIENTS
- 1½ oz Empress 1908 Cucumber Lemon Gin
- 2 oz Cucumber Juice
- 1½ oz Limoncello
- 3 oz Prosecco
- Mint Leaves, Cucumber Slices, Lemon Wheels & Cornflower Petals, to garnish
METHOD
Combine the cucumber juice, limoncello, and Empress 1908 Cucumber Lemon Gin into a chilled serving glass with ice. With a bar spoon, give the drink a gentle stir to combine the ingredients. Top with Prosecco and garnish with a few cucumber slices, lemon slices, mint leaves, and cornflower petals before enjoying!
Fizzy Rhubarb Gimlet
Take advantage of rhubarb season by making a cordial for this gimlet twist by @aroshaliny! Tart rhubarb along with bittersweet and tangy grapefruit come together to create a wonderful accompaniment to your Mother’s Day menu.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 oz Empress 1908 Indigo Gin
- 1 oz Rhubarb Cordial*
- 2 oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice
- Soda water, to top
- Ice cube with Grapefruit Wedge (optional)
METHOD
In a large glass, add the ice cube. Add Empress 1908 Indigo Gin, rhubarb cordial and grapefruit juice. Stir to combine, and top with soda water. Enjoy!

*To make the cordial, add 500g chopped rhubarb, 350g sugar, 1 lemon (sliced), and 500ml water to a saucepan on medium heat. Simmer until rhubarb is falling apart and the sugar is dissolved. Strain and pour the cordial into sterilized bottles. Keep refrigerated.
Bonheur Fizz

With a tasty blend of spice, florals, and nutty notes along with divine texture, the Bonheur Fizz is bound to amaze. Get ready for an arm workout for when you give this a reshake – we know your mom will appreciate the effort!
INGREDIENTS
- 2 oz Empress 1908 Elderflower Rose Gin
- 1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- ½ oz Orgeat
- ½ oz Cardamom Syrup
- 1 oz Heavy Cream
- Egg White
- 8 drops Rose Water
- Soda Water, to top
- Edible Flowers, for garnish
METHOD
Vigorously shake all ingredients except soda water on ice, until the ice cubes dissolve. Strain into a highball glass and let the foam settle for 2 mins. Then pour soda water in the centre of the drink until the foam rises over the glass. Garnish with edible flowers.
Indigo Bloom Fizz
What if Mom wants a zero-proof option? No problem at all! @bevsbybeverly offers this irresistible fizz that pairs soft lavender and zesty yuzu with our Empress 0.0 Indigo for a drink that’s refined and spectacularly complex.
INGREDIENTS
- 1½ oz Empress 1908 0.0 Indigo
- ¾ oz Lavender Syrup
- ¾ oz Yuzu Juice
- 3 oz Butterfly Pea Flower Tea
- 2-3 oz Sparkling Water
- Edible Flower, to garnish
METHOD
In a cocktail shaker, combine Empress 1908 0.0 Indigo, lavender syrup, yuzu, and butterfly pea flower tea, fill with ice, and shake until cold. Strain into a glass filled with ice. Top with sparkling water and garnish. Enjoy!
