1. Grilled Lemon Empress & Tonic

Starting off strong, @thesocialsipper created a refreshing delight made even better by incorporating grilled lemon slices into the drink. The charred citrus provides some roasted flavours and outdoor BBQ vibes, perfect for enjoying out on the patio!

  • 2 oz Empress 1908 Indigo Gin
  • 4 oz Fever-Tree Elderflower Tonic Water
  • 1 Lemon
  • Garnish: Edible Flower & Rosemary
  1. Slice a lemon into 1/4 inch rounds. Oil grill grates so the lemon doesn’t stick. Char lemon slices on both sides and let cool.
  2. Fill a copa glass with ice. Add Empress 1908 Indigo Gin and elderflower tonic water and stir. Add grilled lemon slices to the glass.
  3. Garnish with rosemary sprig and edible flower.

2. Gin & Tonic with a twist

Next, @parttimemixologist honoured the traditional approach to create a nice and bright G&T, but added a little twist for a whole new layer of complexity: a couple dashes of absinthe! The anise notes are a wonderful pairing with the botanicals of Empress 1908 and fresh lime, which goes to show how a touch of extra flavour can make something truly unique.

  • 2 oz Empress 1908 Indigo Gin
  • ½ oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 2 dashes Absinthe
  • 4-5 oz Tonic Water
  • Garnish: Sprig of Fresh Mint

Build in a cocktail glass over ice, starting with Empress 1908 Gin, followed by the lime juice, and absinthe. Top with premium tonic water, and garnish with a sprig of mint. Enjoy!
