Ingredients

2Oz
Empress 1908 Elderflower Rose Gin
1.5Oz
Basil Simple Syrup*
1Oz
Blood Orange Juice
4Oz
Ginger Ale, to top
Dehydrated Blood Orange Slice, for garnish

Method

In an ice-filled wine goblet, add all ingredients and gently stir to combine. Garnish with dehydrated blood orange slice and enjoy!

Notes

*To make the syrup, bring 1 cup water and ½ cup sugar in a small saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil, whisking to dissolve the sugar. Add the basil leaves and reduce the heat to a simmer and cook, without stirring, until the syrup is slightly reduced and syrupy, about 10 minutes.⁣⁣ Let cool, strain, and keep stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
