Eastside Negroni
Are you up for a cocktail mashup? One of our favourite twists is the ‘White Negroni’. Swapping out the sweet vermouth for dry or blanc, and the Campari for a lighter aperitivo like Bitter Bianca, makes the gin the star of the show! @jfdesfosses marries the best of this recipe with an ‘Eastside’ twist to create a heavenly medley of fresh cucumber and mint. The result: a spirit-forward sip fit for a sunny afternoon.
INGREDIENTS
- 30 ml (1 oz) Empress Cucumber Lemon Gin
- 22.5 ml (¾ oz) Bitter Bianca
- 15 ml (½ oz) Bianco Vermouth
- 7.5 ml (¼ oz) Mint-Infused Fino Sherry*
- 3 drops saline solution (optional)
- Long cucumber slice, for garnish
METHOD
Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice and stir until chilled. Peel a long slice of cucumber and wrap it in the inside of a double rocks glass. Strain the cocktail into the glass over a large ice cube or sphere.

*Add 750ml fino sherry and 25g of mint leaves to a container and blend for a couple of seconds. Refrigerate for 1 hour to infuse. Strain through a double-layered cheesecloth, then filter through a coffee filter for clarity. Bottle and store in the fridge.
Empress Rose Sbagliato
Another iconic riff, the Negroni Sbagliato, typically uses prosecco in place of gin to offer lovely effervescence that makes the overall flavour profile dazzle! Interested in how this came to be? Take a look at the article HERE!
@bee.the.love makes this sip more approachable by dialling back on the bitterness to let the botanical complexity shine. Floral, crisp, and elegant – a glass of this is absolutely stunning!

An integral contributor to the rich landscape of cocktails, it’s no wonder there’s a whole week dedicated to the Negroni! So which do you think you’ll be celebrating with this year?
