Empress Carrot Cake

Have you ever wondered what carrot cake would taste like as a cocktail? @milkofthykindness brings us a splendid sippable adaptation through this decadent treat! Boasting earthy sweetness from carrot juice, zest from pineapple juice, and the creamy foam of our dreams, it’s an irresistible dessert in a glass.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 oz Empress 1908 Indigo Gin
  • 3 oz Carrot Juice
  • 1 oz Pineapple Juice
  • Cream Cheese Foam*
  • Vanilla Icing, Graham Crackers, Walnuts, Cinnamon, and Ginger Powder, to rim
  • Carrot Ribbon, to garnish
METHOD

In a bowl, combine 1 tbsp graham cracker dust with a pinch of cinnamon and ginger powder for the icing topper. Brush some vanilla icing on the rim of a glass, and sprinkle it with the graham cracker dust and some chopped walnuts. Set aside. In a mixing glass, combine carrot juice, pineapple juice, and Empress 1908 Indigo Gin with ice. Stir to chill. Strain over ice into your prepared glass. Add a desirable amount of cheese foam on top and garnish with a carrot ribbon. Enjoy!

*To make cream cheese foam, whip together 2 oz of cream cheese with 1 tbsp of maple syrup, a pinch of salt, and 1 tsp each of cinnamon and ginger powder until smooth and fluffy. Add ½ cup of heavy cream and whip until airy. Add 3-4 tbsp of milk to make foam into desired pouring consistency, and let chill in the fridge.

Cherry Orange Blossom

It’s blooming all around us, and @dawnofthedelicious answers the call with this vibrant sip of deliciousness! Featuring syrup with tart cherries and juicy orange, it’s a spring refresher that can’t be beat.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1½ oz Empress 1908 Elderflower Rose Gin
  • 1½ oz Cherry Orange Syrup*
  • 1 oz Fresh Orange Juice
  • 5-10 drops Aromatic Bitters
  • Soda Water, to top
  • Orange or Cherry Blossom, for garnish
METHOD

Build the cocktail in the glass, starting with the syrup followed by ice, juice, gin, and bitters, each layered using the back of a barspoon. Top with soda water and garnish. Mix before enjoying!

*To make syrup, combine 1 cup fresh or frozen cherries (pitted) and ½ cup orange juice to a saucepan and heat on medium-low for about 10 minutes, muddling the cherries occasionally to break them down. Remove from heat and strain out the solids. Allow to cool (room temperature is okay, but layering will be better after refrigerating for several hours).
