Fall is in full swing, and we’ve been busy finding our new favourite seasonal sips. From fresh orchard fruits to warm autumnal spices, vibrant flavours are everywhere— explore some of our go-to mixes in this week’s blog post!

1. empress orchard fizz
With apple season in full swing it seems only appropriate to be sipping on a crisp apple cider cocktail. The @the.boozy.ginger brings us just that with the fresh Orchard Gin Fizz!
Ingredients:
- 1½ oz Empress 1908 Gin
- ¾ oz Apple Cider
- ½ oz Lemon Juice
- ½ oz Honey Syrup
- Top with Ginger Beer
METHOD:
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until chilled. Strain over fresh ice and top with ginger beer. Garnish with an apple fan.
2. spanish E&T
Our very own twist on the classic Spanish Gin & Tonic, this simple and stunning recipe brings autumnal spices to the spotlight! With cinnamon, cloves, anise and dehydrated grapefruit, it’s a summer-to-fall cocktail that packs a seasonal punch.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Empress 1908 Gin
- 3 oz Premium Tonic Water
- 2-3 dashes Angostura Bitters
- Cinnamon Stick
- Whole Cloves
- Star Anise
- Dehydrated Grapefruit
Method
Build in a copa glass over ice, adding gin first, followed by the bitters & tonic. Garnish with a cinnamon stick, star anise, whole cloves and dehydrated grapefruit.
3. cinnamon apple G&tea
Get your teacups out for this one! @mykalekitchen mixes Empress 1908 with herbal tea, apple slices and cinnamon sticks for an unforgettable G&Tea. Pair with a cinnamon apple pie to make your autumn tea party complete.
Ingredients
- 1 oz Empress 1908 Gin
- 2 oz Caffeine Free Herbal Tea
- 3-5 Apple Slices (+ more for garnish)
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- 1½ oz Ginger Beer
- ½ Elderflower Liqueur
- ½ oz Simple Syrup (optional)
Method
Steep your favourite herbal tea with apple slices and a cinnamon stick. Discard the tea bag/leaves and keeping the apple slices and cinnamon stick, allow the tea to cool to room temperature. When ready to make the G&Tea, pour 2 oz of tea into a tea cup and add the ginger beer. Next, add ice to a cocktail shaker along with Empress 1908 Gin, elderflower liqueur and simple syrup, if using. Shake for a few seconds and pour the mixture over the tea. Garnish with fresh apple slices.
4. leaves of change
Like a vibrant fall sunset, this stunning layered cocktail is complex in its flavour profile and presentation. Balanced, bright and beautiful, Leaves of Change is a must try this season!
Ingredients:
- 1½ oz Empress 1908 Gin
- 1½ oz Pear Juice
- ½ oz Maple Syrup
- ¼ oz Red Wine Vinegar or ½ oz Fresh LEmon Juice
- Pear Slices
METHOD:
Shake everything but the gin in a cocktail shaker on ice. Strain into a chilled rocks glass and top with crushed ice. Float Empress 1908 Gin on top. Garnish with a fan of pear slices.
5. the queen bee
The classic bees knees, all dressed up for fall. Traditional honey sweetness is complimented by the burst of apricot jam and warm cinnamon spice. Cozy up by the fire with the Queen Bee in hand!
Ingredients
- 2 oz Empress 1908 Gin
- ¾ oz Lemon Juice
- ½ oz Honey Syrup
- 1 tsp Apricot Jam
- Cinnamon Stick, or Powder
Method
Shake ingredients with lots of ice, and double strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a shaved cinnamon stick or cinnamon powder.
