Which Barbie-Pink Cocktail Are You?
Let’s go party in the dreamhouse with these sips!
In anticipation of the Barbie movie coming out on July 20th, we thought it’d be fun to showcase our favourite pink cocktails to get you into the magic and glamour of their wonderland! Dress up in your favourite Barbie or Ken look and read on ahead to find out which sippable dream matches your vibe.

1. Pink Cadillac – Sporty and Adventurous
AKA The Lychee Coconut Cocktail by @thesocialsipper
It’s hard to keep up with the always-on-the-move nature of the Pink Cadillac! Whether having just finished a round of golf or at the summit of the most daring mountain after a climb, they’ll be ready for the next activity after enjoying this refreshing sip.
Ingredients
- 1½ oz Empress 1908 Indigo Gin
- 1 oz Lychee Syrup (from canned lychee)
- 1½ oz Coconut Water
- ¼ oz Lemon Juice
- Lychee, Edible Flower, Lemon Slice
Method
Add lychee syrup, coconut water and lemon juice to a cocktail glass and stir to combine. Fill the glass with ice, and float Empress 1908 Gin on top. Garnish with a lemon slice, lychee and edible flower. Stir before enjoying.
2. HOT PINK PARADISE — Elegant and Charming
AKA The Empress Floradora by @afullliving
Named after a musical in the early 20th century, the Floradora is full of theatrical panache with some ginger spice and raspberry zing! This stunner carries off these qualities flawlessly with enough poise that’s sure to enchant anyone coming across their way.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Empress 1908 Indigo Gin
- 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 1 oz Raspberry Syrup
- 2½ oz Ginger Beer
- Floral Ice Cubes (optional)
- Edible Flowers, Chamomile, & Lime Wheel, to garnish
Method
Add Empress 1908 Indigo Gin, lime juice, and raspberry syrup to a mixing glass or cocktail shaker with ice and mix or shake to chill. Strain into a cocktail glass over ice, then top with ginger beer. Garnish with edible flower petals, chamomile, and a lime wheel. Enjoy!
3. FROSTY DIVA’S DELIGHT – Cool and Spirited
AKA Strawberry Lavender Delight by @healthylittlepeach
Don’t let the whimsy of this treat fool you! This spiked milkshake may be full of bright fruity and floral flavours, but with such a frosty demeanour, it stares at danger right in the face without so much as a flinch.
Ingredients
- 1-1½ oz Empress 1908 Indigo Gin
- 1 cup Vanilla Ice Cream (can sub Coconut Ice Cream)
- 4 oz Lemonade
- 1½ tsp Lavender Syrup
- 1 tsp Strawberry Syrup
- ⅓ cup Frozen Strawberries
- Lavender, Strawberry & Edible Flowers, to garnish
Method
Add everything to a blender and blend for 10-15 seconds. Pour in the glass and garnish with a strawberry, lavender, and an edible flower of choice. Enjoy!
4. Malibu Mojito – Intellectual and Perceptive
A.K.A. The Empress Southside
Having an eye for the finest details and a hunger to learn about life’s greatest mysteries, this one’s a modern-day scholar. You’ll definitely walk away with fresh new perspective after engaging with this libation!
Ingredients
- 2 oz Empress 1908 Indigo Gin
- 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- ¾ oz Simple Syrup
- 5-6 Mint Leaves
- Soda Water, to top
Method
Shake the gin, lime juice, simple syrup, and mint leaves on ice. Strain into a chilled collins glass on fresh ice. Top with soda water and garnish with a mint spring and premium cherry.
5. SPARKLING BARBIE STARLET — Fabulous and Bubbly
A.K.A. Rosé French 75 by @takestwoeggs
Maybe you have more refined taste – this shimmering French 75 with a twist of sparkling rosé exhibits this degree of spectacle perfectly. This one’s all you if you enjoy having some fun with an element of extravagance!
Ingredients
- 1½ oz Empress 1908 Indigo Gin
- ½ oz Simple Syrup
- ½ oz Lemon Juice
- 3-4 oz of Sparkling Rosé
- Pinch of silver cocktail glitter (optional)
Method
Add Empress 1908 Indigo Gin, simple syrup, and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake generously. Strain into a champagne flute. Top off with rosé. Stir in a pinch of cocktail glitter (optional). Garnish with a lemon twist.
6. Pink Flamingo by @tarynstastingtable – Vibrant and Energetic
With the exotic and sweet flavours of pineapple and guava alongside tangy lime and hibiscus, this Pink Flamingo is lively and always ready to seize the day! Having such an effervescent personality, once they go, they may just not stop.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Empress 1908 Indigo Gin
- 2 oz Pineapple Juice
- ¾ oz Guava Puree
- ½ oz Fresh Lime Juice
- ½ oz Hibiscus Syrup
- Soda Water, To Top
- Pink Pineapple, Pineapple Fronds, Guava Wheel & Orchid (for garnish)
Method
Add pineapple juice, guava puree, lime juice, hibiscus syrup and ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake, and strain into an ice-filled glass. Top with soda water, and float Empress 1908 Indigo Gin on top. Garnish with Pink Pineapple, Pineapple Fronds, Guava Wheel & Orchid, if desired. Enjoy!
7. Dreamhouse Spritz – Creative and Eccentric
A.K.A. The Lychee Rose Spritz by @foodie_renee
Finally, we have this spritz just bursting with imagination and wonder! This one marches to the beat of their own drum and is unapologetic when expressing themselves.
Ingredients
- 1½ oz Empress 1908 Indigo Gin
- ½ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 tbsp Rose Jam
- 2 oz Soda Water
- 4 pieces Lychee
Method
Muddle lychee in a shaker. Add ice and lemon juice; mix or shake well. In a glass, add rose jam and fill it with ice cubes. Pour lychee mixture into the glass and add club soda. Float Empress 1908 Gin on top. Garnish with lemon twist.
