3 Must-Know Summer Syrup Recipes
The season for summer cocktails is here! Level up your home bartending game with these simple & delicious syrup recipes that pack a flavourful punch. Using the same general method, we’ll teach you to create three different summer syrup staples. Keep reading for all the details!

1. LAVENDER HONEY SYRUP
Let’s kick things off with a recipe that couldn’t be simpler. All you’ll need is sugar, water & fresh or dried lavender buds. By bringing a lovely floral sweetness to your summer cocktail roster that can’t be beat, this recipe will soon become a seasonal favourite.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup runny honey
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp lavender buds (fresh or dried)
METHOD:
- First, add honey and water to a small saucepan on medium heat and stir to combine.
- Next, reduce heat and add lavender buds. Simmer 10-15 minutes.
- Then, remove from heat and cool 30 minutes.
- Finally, strain, and store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

2. STRAWBERRY SYRUP
Our next summer syrup is packed full of bright berry flavour! If you prefer another summer fruit, try substituting strawberries for your favourite seasonal berry to add your own twist.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups strawberries, chopped
METHOD:
- irstly, add sugar & water to a small saucepan on medium heat and stir to combine.
- Next, add strawberries and bring to a boil. Boil 10 minutes.
- Then, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer another 10 minutes until the syrup thickens and strawberries are soft.
- Finally, strain, and store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

3. BASIL SYRUP
